One of the earliest movie palaces built in the country, the Hanford Fox Theatre was opened in 1929, now serving as a live music and entertainment venue. The Spanish Renaissance-themed theater also shows occasional films and documentaries, often as part of a film festival. Located in downtown Hanford, it is beside the Hanford Carnegie Museum.
